An accomplished horseman and trainer himself, Jon enjoys training young horses, especially cutting horses. "Training keeps me alert and humble." " No one has a lock on all the knowledge when it comes to horses or equipment, what works and what don't."

Crafting fine saddles and equipment for horsemen and women who demand the best , of themselves, of their horses and of their equipment.
Starting with only the finest materials, each saddle is built from scratch;
the saddletree is made right here,
then only the best skirting leather, cut from the right place in the hide, is cased, carved and fitted.
All parts are made completely by hand.
Hardware and conchas used on our saddles are of the highest standards.
The use of "Inexpensive materials" is not an available option!

These same standards apply to all the tack and equipment we carry.
We only carry products that we would use on a horse ourselves.

Hillman Saddlery is located along with our training and breeding facility
about half way between Big Spring and Garden City, Texas.
