"My name is on
it, so I take
quality very serious!"

"Every horse
has a head, a tail and 4 legs,
it's the
"Little Things" that separate
the good ones from the
mediocre. The same goes with
your saddle and tack"
"Sitting
on a saddle just won't work,
you have to be able to sit “in”
it."
For
over 40 years, Jon Hillman has
made saddles for many
accomplished horse men and
women. People who are
professionals at the top of
their field, like Jerold
Camarillo, Reg
Camarillo, Marilyn Camarillo,
Joannie
Gatz,
Kent Youngblood, Sharon
Youngblood, Jimmie Gibbs, Kobie
Wood, Gary Ray, Mickey Nelson
and many, many others. More
recent profesionals
like Patrick Smith, Trevor Brazile,
Colby
Schneemann,
and Jed Middleton.
"The ranchers, trainers,
ropers, barrel racers, and
cutters all contributed to our
success. Each little variance
each customer needed enabled
us to improve our product."
Crafting
fine saddles and equipment
for horsemen and women who
demand the best. The best of
themselves, the best of
their horses, and the best
of their equipment since
1974.
Starting with
only the finest materials,
each saddle is built from
scratch:
The saddletree
is made right here for each
order.
Then only the best skirting
leather, cut from the right
place in the hide, is cased,
carved and fitted.
All parts are
made completely by
hand.
Hardware and conchas
used on our saddles are of
the highest standards.
The use of
"Inexpensive materials" is
not an available
option!
These same
standards apply to all the
tack and equipment we carry.
We
only carry products that we
would use on a horse
ourselves.

An
accomplished horseman and
trainer himself, Jon enjoys
training young horses,
especially cutting horses.
"Training keeps me alert and
humble. No one has a lock on
all the knowledge when it
comes to horses or equipment,
what works and what
doesn't."
"Being in
the pasture or the arena,
working with or competing, you
quickly pick up on the little
"subtle" differences that each
discipline requires in the way
of equipment. It's something you
"feel" while you’re in the
saddle. It's not something that
you can find in a book or a
video."
