"MATT HILLMAN" TEAM ROPING SADDLE
| Matt designed and built the saddle
shown here for himself. Built on a Low TM Tree (made here in our
shop) with a 15" seat, 3 1/2" cantle, 3 1/2" neck x 3"cap horn,
(Stainless Steel). The pad is an "inlaid" bicycle seat style and
the saddle is fully tooled with a "Devils Claw" pattern exclusive to
"Hillman Saddlery" with a baskeweave border. The skirts are "Mother
Hubbard" style with inskirt rigging . the conchos and horn cap are
custom made Sterling Silver with the same "Devils Claw " pattern as the
tooling ! As you can see in the photo above, everything lays smooth
against the horse. No humps, bumps or lumps! This gives maximum contact
with your horse from seat to stirrups, providing both "feel" and
"stability". While designed with team roping in mind, heeling in particular, this saddle has caught the attention of many calf ropers like many time NFR Qualifier Raymond Hollobaugh. We have already received orders for this saddle with a calf roping type horn. As with all custom saddles from HILLMAN SADDLERY, this saddle can be ordered roughout, smoothout, 1/2 breed, 3/4 breed, partial stamped or tooled, full stamped or tooled, saddle tree and tree dimensions of your choice. Matt Hillman has roped competetively since 2001 and has had
the pleasure of roping with some of the greatest ropers in the
world, like Patrick Smith, Tyler Magnus, Daniel Green, Wade
Wheatly and many others. He now competes at the college level while
attending Tarleton State University where he is majoring in
Business/Marketing. Having grown up riding handmade saddles, Matt is very discriminating when it comes to fit, feel and quality.! He has made saddles for Trevor and Shada Brazile, Colby Schneemann and many others. His experience in the arena and training pen, as well as his experience making saddles, have come together to create roping saddles that provide the Comfort, Balance and Stability necessary to compete and WIN ! |
